Can I change “Happy Birthday” to a name or an age?
Yes. Edit the Caption box. Once you have typed your own words, switching to another look keeps them.

Turn a party clip or a video message into a birthday card, with confetti, balloons, bunting or candles round it and your own words underneath.
To add a birthday frame to a video, open the clip above. This page starts on Birthday confetti in a square: bright confetti scattered over a white border, with “Happy Birthday” in bold letters below the picture. Add an age or a nickname in Caption, then press Export video and send it.
A framed clip makes a quick video card from almost anything: a candle-blowing moment, a message recorded by the family, a montage exported from your editor. The Celebrations category has six birthday looks, and Kids adds brighter, playful ones for younger birthdays. The square shape suits chat apps; switch to 9:16 for a Story, or see the Instagram border page for feed sizes.
Choose the party video or a recorded message. It opens in a square confetti frame with “Happy Birthday”.
Tap Balloons, Party bunting, Birthday candles, Sprinkles or Party night in Celebrations, or press Surprise me for a random pick.
Change the caption, for example to “Happy 80th, Grandad”, and set the text colour if it needs more contrast.
Export it and, on a phone, tap Share to send it straight to the birthday chat.
Every one of them recolours: the Decoration swatches change balloons, flags and candles, and Pattern swatches change the sprinkles, so you can match a party theme or a favourite colour.
The caption band holds one short line, and longer text shrinks to fit. Ages and names work well: “Happy 30th!”, “Happy birthday, Mum”, “Ten today”. Under More options, Font switches between six styles: Bold suits confetti, Script suits candles, Hand feels like a card written by a child.
Looks without a caption band, such as Balloons or Sprinkles, can still carry text: turn on Caption under More options and raise the bottom border if the words feel cramped.
For a softer keepsake, the Instant photo category frames the clip like a print with a handwritten line beneath; try Taped instant for a scrapbook feel. More instant frames and a film strip are on the video frames page. If several people sent clips, keep each one in the same look so the set feels like one card.
