To add a wedding frame to a video, open the clip above. This page starts on Wedding florals: blush flowers and green leaves on the corners of a white border, with “Mr & Mrs” in script in the band below. Swap the words in Caption for names, a date or a line from the vows, then press Export video.

Wedding videos get passed around: to guests the next morning, to grandparents who couldn’t travel, to the group chat a year on. A frame turns a phone clip of the first dance into something that feels like a keepsake. All the wedding looks sit in Celebrations, and the frame stays on your own device, so private footage is never uploaded anywhere.

How to frame a wedding video

  1. Open the footage

Choose the clip: a first dance, the speeches or a save-the-date. Wedding florals is already round it.

  2. Pick the style

Browse Celebrations for Wedding rings, Sage wedding, Gold wedding, Champagne sparkle or Anniversary.

  3. Personalise the words

Type your own caption, such as a date or a thank-you line, and change the font under More options if you want.

  4. Save a copy for everyone

Export, then download the file or share it from your phone to the guests’ group.

Five wedding looks

  • Wedding florals: flowers on the corners, “Mr & Mrs” below the picture.
  • Wedding rings: two linked gold rings under the clip and “Just married” written above it.
  • Sage wedding: eucalyptus-green leaves on the corners and a serif “Save the date”.
  • Gold wedding: a fine double gold line and “Forever” in script, for a formal feel.
  • Champagne sparkle: a warm champagne gradient with scattered sparkles and no caption.

For a garden or rustic wedding, the Botanical category adds White florals on sage, Eucalyptus and Ferns. For a portrait-gallery feel, see the picture frame looks.

Captions for wedding clips

Short is best. A date, “Thank you for celebrating with us”, or a venue and year all fit neatly; longer lines shrink to fit the band. Script suits florals and gold; Serif looks calm on sage. Under More options you can also set Text colour, to pick out a shade from the flowers or the dress.

Your caption is drawn on the device and is never sent to us. To change the colours of the petals and leaves, use the Decoration swatches under Look colours, or press Match video colours to pull tones from the venue itself.

Shapes for sharing

Leave Shape on Original for a clip to keep and watch on a TV. For a save-the-date on Instagram, 4:5 fills the feed; for a Story, 9:16. A square suits messaging apps and slideshows: see how to make a video square. Landscape footage of the ceremony fitted to a tall shape gets wider bands, which gives the flowers more room.

Wedding video frame questions

Can I put our names on the wedding frame?

Yes. Type them into Caption in place of the suggested text. The words appear in the caption band in every frame of the video.

Is there a frame for a save-the-date video?

Yes. Sage wedding fills in “Save the date” and you can add the date after it. Set Shape to 4:5 or 9:16 for social posts.

Do the flowers cover the edges of the video?

The corner flowers overlap the picture’s corners a little, like a real floral frame. A wider border or a smaller Decoration size keeps them clear of faces.

Is it safe to use with private wedding footage?

Yes. The video never leaves your device: framing and encoding both happen in your browser.

Can I keep the music from the original clip?

Yes. Keep sound is on by default under Export settings, so the speeches or the first-dance song stay.
